Dear Sir or Madam,​

I am a senior student of this university. I am writing to put forward some constructive suggestions to improve the service of our university library, which is vital for students' study and research.​

First of all, the number of study seats is insufficient, especially during exam periods. Many students have to wait for a long time or even give up studying in the library. Adding more seats, especially in the quiet reading areas, would greatly ease this problem. Secondly, the opening hours on weekends are too short. Extending the closing time from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. would better meet students' needs, as most of us have more free time to study on weekends. Lastly, some old books and journals are not updated in time. Updating more professional materials related to popular majors like computer science and environmental engineering would help us keep up with the latest academic developments.​
